Why consider Whole Life Insurance?

Whole Life Insurance coverage enables members to provide financial security for their loved ones in the event they are no longer here to provide for them.
It builds cash value that grows at a minimum guaranteed rate of 4% and it can be borrowed on if needed.
It provides a Living Benefit option that allows the insureds to request an advance, up to 100% of the benefit amount chosen if they are diagnosed with a terminal illness.

Why you should consider expanded Accident Insurance?

  • Expanded Accident Insurance provides a guaranteed issue of benefits for covered accidents that occur on or off the job, 24 hours a day!
  • This coverage provides a lump sum benefit based on the type of injury you sustain or the type of treatment needed...so trips to the emergency room or doctor's office for such injuries as broken bones and burns are covered.

The APW-ABA's Value and Advantage Plans pay YOU daily tax-free cash benefits for up to 365 days for a covered accident. 24/7/365!

The APW-ABA's Plus Program allows you to purchase additional Accidental Death Benefits that are very affordable at just pennies a day! The Value Plan already includes $6,000 of Accidental Death Benefits and the Advantage plan includes $10,000 of Accidental Death Benefits, however, you can now add an additional $20,000 $30,000 $40,000 $50,000 $75,000 or $100,000 to either the Value or Advantage Plans existing coverage. This coverage is available to all Members and Associate Members with NO MEDICAL exam required. (Retirees and Spouses are eligible for $20,000, $30,000, $40,000 or $50,000, also with no medical exam required.)

You may choose any of the plans by:

Speaking with a Union trained Counselor when they begin travelling across the country - meeting with YOU at your post office, station or branch, beginning June 1, 2011. Or you may apply during the Special Enrollment Period by calling toll-free 1-855-APW-3ABA (1-855-279-3222) and speaking with the APW-ABA counselor who can sign you up via telephone.

Please share this information with your members and their families. Soon a special informational digest will be provided to each APWU Member, Associate Member, Retiree and Spouse for review. QUESTIONS, please call
the APW-ABA at 1-800-526-2890.

Fraternally,

APW-ABA Memorial Scholarship - Honoring: Michael A Tosches & Thomas Hartos

APW-ABA

MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

HONORING

Thomas Hartos & Michael Tosches

Congratulations to

Emily Morris

daughter of

Sandy Morris - Tampa Area Local (Member)

My name is Emily Morris, daughter of Sandy Morris, Sales Service Associate of the Zephyrhills Post Office and 30 year member of the American Postal Workers Union.  I am the proud winner of the $1,000.00 scholarship from the APW-ABA.  I graduated from Zephyrhills High School on May 27, 2011 with Cum Laude honors.  My plans for college are to attend Pasco Hernando Community College for the fall semester with the intention of obtaining an Associate of Arts Degree.  I am unsure of what my undergrad degree will be but I would like to minor in the Arts.

My community service work included volunteering at First United Methodist Church of Zphyrhills Florida helping with Sunday school classes, vacation bible school and youth group missions trips.  I keep busy by babysitting three rambunctious children several afternoons a week.

My hobbies include Anime Club, Japanese Cultural Society, reading and Art projects.  My painting, "Mother and Child" was selected to be in the 2011 Florida State Fair.  Another painting name "Ocean Valley" was selected for the Congressional Art Competition.  Although these paintings did not win an award, it was an honor to have my artwork selected to be in these competitions.

I want to thank you for this scholarship award and let you know how much I appreciated this gift.
