Our members seem to be having a lot of accidents as they get older. The KYOWVA Area Local #1488 has been an ABA 100% local for many years. Membership in the ABA is a right of membership in our local. It is Constitutional and it has been a wonderful asset to the local. We protect, negotiate and represent the membership. the membership pays their dues and make it possible for us to be successful. The ABA is not only a great recruiting tool, but it is a way for the local to give back to the membership. The windfall National dues increases of the past few years made it possible for us to upgrade coverage to the Advantage Plan. Being 100% ABA is painless to the local, but can certainly alleviate great pain for the membership.
