Locals & States SPEAK

Heres what some local & state officers say:

The Tampa, Fl., APWU have been long time members of the APW-ABA not just for the great benefits it provides all of our members, but also for the organizing advantage it gives us to bring on new members.   This benfit is of great value to each and every member in their most critical time(s) of need.

Richard Phillips   -   President   -   Tampa, FL., Area Local   -   APWU AFL/CIO

My home local, Langhorne, PA., which has been ably led by Wayne Maurer for many years is proud of the benefits that we provide to our membership through the APW-ABA.  Both Wayne and I serve on the APW-ABA Board of Directors and we continue to recommend APW-ABA membership to all.

Eugene Johnson (former president) -  Langhorne, PA., Area Local  - APWU  AFL/CIO

Wayne Maurer  -  President   -   Langhorne, PA., Area Local  -  APWU  AFL/CIO

Our local has been a proud member of the APW-ABA for many, many years.  Our officers and stewards take great pride, insuring that we keep our membership informed about all their benefits of which the APW-ABA is a critical "piece of the pie".  There is NO doubt in my or my officers minds that the APW-ABA is not only a great benefit for the membership but a great tool for organizing.

Kennith Beasley    -    President    -    Atlanta, GA., Area Local - APWU/AFL-CIO

Our members seem to be having a lot of accidents as they get older. They are thrilled when I remind them that we are members of the ABA and they get money for each day they were off work, including weekends!!  It's an excellent benefit and everyone should enroll if you haven't already!!! The claims are processed so fast by the excellent ABA staff!

Ann Barnes, President    -   Terre Haute Indiana Area Local    -  APWU AFL-CIO

The KYOWVA Area Local #1488 has been an ABA 100% local for many years. Membership in the ABA is a right of membership in our local. It is Constitutional and it has been a wonderful asset to the local. We protect, negotiate and represent the membership. the membership pays their dues and make it possible for us to be successful. The ABA is not only a great recruiting tool, but it is a way for the local to give back to the membership. The windfall National dues increases of the past few years made it possible for us to upgrade coverage to the Advantage Plan. Being 100% ABA is painless to the local, but can certainly alleviate great pain for the membership.

David E. Daniel, President  -  KYOWVA Area Local APWU #1488   -  AFL/CIO

I urge all locals to invest in your local's future by enrolling your membership into the ABA 100%.  You'll never regret it, that's for sure!

Moe Lepore, General President  -  Boston Metro Area Local 100  -  APWU, AFL-CIO
